WoW Item Upgrades
Item upgrades, also known as "upping", are items or enchantments that improve the performance of armor and weapons. These upgrade items add a number of points to the level gauge for the item, with their costs scaling with their popularity.
A perfectly formed version of this armor is highly prized in the melee PvP community for its ability to limit the amount of damage a weapon can cause.
Type-restricted upgrades
The upgrading process is an essential part of the crafting process. Upgrades can be used to enhance the stats of an item or make it stronger, or even provide a bonus effect. They can also alter the item's appearance. Some upgrades are universal while others have rules specific to weapons and armor. A bad upgrade can destroy an item that is otherwise excellent, and could even render it useless.
A general rule is that you can only upgrade an piece of equipment to the level of the most advanced gear in its class. You can only upgrade helms to the highest level. Weapons on the other hand, can be upgraded to the level of a sword. However, this won't increase the weapon's damage output, but can reduce its value for trading.
To upgrade an item you need to purchase flightstones and crests. The amount you pay for each depends on the item's level and slot. For instance, an upgrade to a sword will cost more flightstones than upgrading bracers or a cloak. You can also receive discounts on the number flightstones or crests required to upgrade an item.
The upgrade of an item will fill up its diamond-shaped indicator. Each step increases the item's Tier level one-third. Tier 3 is the highest level. Based on the item, it may take a different number of upgrades to get to this point. It is essential to note that any procedures that might be used to mount a disk shouldn't be running during an upgrade. It is also important to make sure that the disk you're upgrading is not being used as an operating system drive.
Enchantment allows you to change white or Common items to blue or rare ones. It can be done at Eleanor's enchantment shop in the Capital District. This procedure does not add a gem or rune slot to the equipment. However it can alter the dimensions of the equipment. It increases the size of the equipment by the size of a creature two categories smaller, so for example the Blaster Pistol is deemed Small, whereas the Stormtrooper Armor is Medium.
Universal upgrades
Universal upgrades are upgrades that can be used on any type of equipment. This includes weapons and armor. The upgrade components are typically random drops, however they can also be found from completing Side Quests. Universal upgrades can be either temporary or permanent, and can overlap with Power Ups. They can be linear or branching.
Universal Upgrades start when "internal technology" can give sentient beings new capabilities that they are extremely unlikely to develop in natural ways. Implants and prostheses are two examples of internal technology. This type of upgrade is not the same as medical internal technology, which is designed to restore natural capabilities. Rather, it represents the beginning of an upgrade process that changes civilizations in a fundamentally different way. The universal upgrade is a complicated procedure that can take a long time to complete. The process can be classified in two categories one of complete success and the other of partial failure.
This is similar to the way resort upgrades work at Disney or Universal. In the case of WDW it is typically due to operational needs such as room availability or overbooking. In the case Universal, it could be to relocate guests to a different resort that is open. This is not meant as a sarcastic comment however, given the current situation, it might be impossible to avoid.
Contrary to Runes, Sigils and Jewels that can only be applied to certain types of equipment (armor weapons, trinkets or weapons), universal upgrades can be applied to any type of gear. They can also be applied to multiple items at once. This makes them more adaptable than other types of upgrades. This flexibility can be problematic when upgrading items on the same gear path. It will increase the level of items for all pieces along the route.
Before you upgrade, it's essential to stop PowerShell Universal and delete any existing application files. After that you can install new files using the GetChildItem-Recurse command, or Unblock-File. It is recommended to also run a basic checks against your PSU server to ensure that it works correctly.
Jewels
Jewels can be used to enhance armor, weapons or other items. The reagents and gems used to create them can give different stat bonuses and secondary effects. They are found in Golden Chests, Rift Incursions, V Blood Carriers and in regular enemies. They can also be purchased from a Master Craftsman in exchange for gold or karma. Jewels can be crafted using a jewelry table using 5 of the same reagent type and one gem to create the jewel of an upper or lower tier. This is similar to upgrading a stone on an instrument for gem crafting.
Jewel levels are determined by the number of modifiers they have. Jewels of higher tiers are more modifiers than lower-tier jewels. The primary effect is determined by a jewel's tier, while the secondary effect is random. Players can make use of luck potions to increase their chances of receiving better secondary effects.
Like other upgrade components jewels can be inserted into an item that has an appropriate socket to boost it. For instance Garnet Pebble (gemstone) and an Adorned Garnet Jewel (jewel) both provide a bonus to strength, however the Garnet Pebble only increases regular hits while the Garnet Jewel also boosts the player's powerful attacks. Jewels can be put into every level of armor, weapon, and accessory slots, as well as some trinkets with lesser rarity or exotic which require a slot to be empty.
As with other DM mechanics, gems aid to ensure that items feel special to their owners. Through offering a variety of upgrade options, jewels allow players to modify their equipment and choose the combination that best suits their needs. Requirements

The window will display the upgrade level, the type of upgrade bonus (such a Tech Points or a Quality Chance) and the cost of upgrading. The bonus type for upgrades will be shown below the bar that shows the upgrade level.
The player will need to take the item to the upgrader, who will then explain the process of upgrading the item. The player will then need to provide the proper currency for that upgrade, and may be required to supply additional materials when needed. These requirements are based on the level of manufacture, with weapons typically having stricter requirements than armor.
Many upgrade recipes include a list of 'Acceptable Material' in addition to the required components. This list lists the other upgrade components can be used on the item, and includes a flag that indicates whether the item is guaranteed to boost or other effect. It is important to be aware because the value of an upgraded item may vary greatly based on the 'extras' it has, with perfectly rolled gear being worth a lot more than the non-upgraded versions.
